表面微织构铣刀切削CFRP的表面加工质量研究

摘要:传统铣削加工碳纤维增强复合材料(CFRP)时容易产生表面加工质量缺陷。为改善CFRP表面加工质量,提出在刀具前刀面加工长条状表面微织构,制备出平行于主切削刃(记作PAM)和垂直于主切削刃(记作PEM)两种类型微织构铣刀,进行CFRP端铣试验。与无织构刀具(记作NCM)铣削进行对比试验,对表面粗糙度和表面纤维剪切形貌进行分析研究,揭示两种类型的表面微织构对铣削0°、45°、90°和135°单向纤维铺层CFRP表面粗糙度及剪切方式的作用机理。结果表明:在表面微织构的作用下,PAM和PEM刀具铣削的表面粗糙度值有不同程度的降低,使得切屑纤维的弯曲程度改变,提高刀具对切屑的剪切能力,避免切屑产生的较大弯曲变形导致表面树脂或纤维的剥离。

Study on Surface Quality of CFRP Machining by MicroTextured Milling Tool

Abstract:Commonly known the carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP) in traditional milling process is easy to machined surface defects.To improve CFRP machined surface quality,two kinds of surface structures are fabricated on the rake face of the carbide doubleedge milling tool: linear grooves parallel to the main cutting edge (named PAM) and linear grooves perpendicular to the main cutting edge(named PEM).Dry cutting tests are carried out on unidirectional CFRP with different fiber orientations (0°,45°,90° and 135°)using the two developed tools and the conventional tool(named NCM).The surface machining quality is assessed in terms of the surface roughness,shear phenomenon and the way of fiber breakage.Results show that the surface quality of CFRP machining by the microtextured milling tools is improved over that by the conventional one.Meanwhile,the type of surface texture and fiber laying have a profound effect on the surface machining quality,the PAM and PEM are obvious effective in reducing the machined surf ace roughness,bending deformation of fiber chip,and the fiber or resin stripping phenomenon of milling.The possible mechanisms for the effects of micro-textures on the surface quality of CFRP machining are revealed.
