涂层和基体类型对车削刀片加工不锈钢切削性能的影响

摘要:以4款硬质合金涂层刀片作为实验对象进行316L不锈钢的车削试验,借助扫描电镜和影像仪对刀片的涂层、基体与后刀面磨损情况进行观测。综合分析观测与试验结果,研究刀片的涂层和基体类型对其切削性能的影响。干、湿切削试验均表明:1μm厚的TiAlN涂层刀片耐磨损性能优于3μm厚的TiAlSiN涂层刀片;粘结磨损和切削刃刃口钝化是TiAlSiN涂层刀片工作寿命较短的主要原因。不同基体刀片的切削试验显示:基体中Co含量较高且WC晶粒更致密的刀片切削性能更好;基体中Co含量增加有利于刀片的抗崩刃性,WC晶粒致密程度的提高有利于提升刀片的抗冲击和耐磨损性能。

Effect of Coating and Substrate Type on Cutting Performance of
 Turning Insert in Stainless Steel Machining

Abstract:Four carbide coated inserts are used in this paper as the test objects for the stainless steel 316L turning experiments.The coating,substrate and the wear of flank surface of the inserts are observed with the help of the scanning electron microscope and imager.The effect of insert′s coating and substrate type on its cutting performance are studied and analyzed comprehensively by the observation and experimental results.Both the dry and the wet cutting tests show that the wear resistance of TiAlN coated inserts with a thickness of 1μm is better than that of TiAlSiN coated inserts with a thickness of 3μm,and adhesion wear and edge bluntness are the main reasons for the shorter tool life of TiAlSiN coated inserts.Cutting experiments with inserts of different substrates also show that the increase of Co content and the WC grain density lead to a better cutting performance,and the increase of Co content in the substrate is beneficial to the chipping resistance,and the increase of the density of WC grains is beneficial to improving the impact resistance and wear resistance of the insert.
