Abstract:The production processes of continuous casting and rolling，extrusiondrawing and continuous extrusion of aluminum alloy rods and wires are introduced，their advantages and disadvantages are explained，and the shortcomings in the production of 7xxx series highstrength aluminum alloys are also analyzed.In addition，the hot continuous rolling process of rods and wires and its advantages and disadvantages as well as the current status of the continuous hot rolling，application of aluminum alloy rods and wires are introduced.Finally，the development trend of highstrength aluminum alloy rod and wire production is analyzed from the perspective of the future market.
